CVE-2026-74865 Details
Description
sogo_yhn configures SOGo with a parameter "SOGoTrustProxyAuthentication=YES". This causes the password to be bypassed during HTTP Basic authentication. An unauthenticated attacker who provides the username of an existing user and any arbitrary password can successfully log in to that user's account. This issue was fixed in version 5.8.0~ynh9.
An authorization bypass vulnerability has been identified in YunoHost-Apps SOGo version 5.8.0~ynh9 and prior. The vulnerability arises because the application is configured to trust proxy authentication, allowing an unauthenticated attacker to bypass password validation during HTTP Basic authentication. By supplying the username of an existing user along with any arbitrary password, the attacker can gain unauthorized access to that user's account.
Users are advised to upgrade to SOGo version 5.8.0~ynh9 or later.
