Description
A maliciously crafted BMP file, when parsed through certain Autodesk products, can force a Untrusted Pointer Dereference vulnerability. A malicious actor can leverage this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current process.
A vulnerability allowing untrusted pointer dereference has been identified in certain Autodesk desktop products, including Autodesk Revit, Autodesk AutoCAD and its specialized toolsets, Autodesk Civil 3D, and Autodesk Advance Steel. This vulnerability arises when a maliciously crafted BMP file is parsed, leading to memory corruption that can be exploited to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current process.
Users can update to the latest versions via Autodesk Access or the Accounts Portal. For Autodesk Revit, versions 2027.1, 2026.5, and 2024.3.5 are available. For Autodesk AutoCAD and its specialized toolsets, version 2027.1 is recommended.
