Description
A vulnerability was identified in SourceCodester Pharmacy Sales and Inventory System 1.0. This affects the function delete_expired of the file /ajax.php?action=delete_expired. The manipulation of the argument ID leads to sql injection. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The exploit is publicly available and might be used.
A SQL injection vulnerability has been identified in SourceCodester Pharmacy Sales and Inventory System version 1.0. The issue arises in the 'delete_expired' function of 'ajax.php', where the 'id' parameter is not properly validated, allowing remote attackers to inject malicious SQL queries. This vulnerability could be exploited to gain unauthorized access to the database, manipulate or delete data, and access sensitive information.
To address this vulnerability, it is recommended to use prepared statements and parameter binding to prevent SQL injection, validate and filter user input, minimize database user permissions, and conduct regular security audits.
