Description
A vulnerability was found in Totolink A8000RU 7.1cu.643_b20200521. This vulnerability affects the function setUrlFilterRules of the file /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi of the component CGI Handler. The manipulation of the argument enable results in os command injection. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploit has been made public and could be used.
A command injection vulnerability has been identified in the Totolink A8000RU router, specifically in the firmware version 7.1cu.643_b20200521. The issue resides within the CGI handler, in a function called 'setUrlFilterRules', located in the file '/cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi'. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary operating system commands by manipulating the 'enable' parameter in a crafted HTTP request. The injected commands are executed with root privileges, potentially compromising the router and the connected network.
