Description
A vulnerability was detected in Totolink A8000RU 7.1cu.643_b20200521. Affected is the function CsteSystem of the file /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi of the component CGI Handler. The manipulation of the argument HTTP results in os command injection. The attack may be launched remotely. The exploit is now public and may be used.
A command injection vulnerability has been identified in the Totolink A8000RU router, specifically in version 7.1cu.643_b20200521. The issue resides within the CGI handler, in a function called 'CsteSystem', located in the file '/cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi'. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary operating system commands by manipulating the 'HTTP' parameter, which is processed without proper sanitization. The injected commands are executed with root privileges, potentially compromising the entire router and its connected network.
