Description
Jenkins Google Chat Notification Plugin 166.ve6b_de280f2e8 and earlier does not set the appropriate context for credentials lookup, allowing attackers with Item/Configure permission to access and capture credentials they are not entitled to use.
A vulnerability exists in the Google Chat Notification Plugin for Jenkins, specifically in versions through 166.ve6b_de280f2e8. The issue arises because the plugin does not properly define the context for credential retrieval, which enables attackers with Item/Configure permission to access and intercept credentials they are not authorized to use.
Users of the Google Chat Notification Plugin should update to version 1.0 or later, where this vulnerability has been addressed.
