CVE-2026-70436 Details
Description
Jenkins External Workspace Manager Plugin 1.4.1 and earlier does not perform a permission check (1.4.0 and earlier) or performs an improper permission check (1.4.1) when providing access to externally-managed workspaces through the workspace browser, allowing attackers with Overall/Read permission to read files in workspaces they are not authorized to access.
A vulnerability exists in the Jenkins External Workspace Manager Plugin in versions through 1.4.1, where the plugin fails to properly check permissions when accessing externally-managed workspaces via the workspace browser. This flaw allows attackers with Overall/Read permission to access and read files in workspaces they are not authorized to.
Users of the External Workspace Manager Plugin should update to version 1.4.2, which includes the necessary permission checks. For Jenkins core, version 2.576 or LTS 2.568.2 should be used.
