CVE-2026-70403 Details
Description
XING CPTrans-ME-X contains a Use of Hard-coded Password (CWE-259). Anyone with the knowledge of the credential may log in to the affected device.
A vulnerability exists in the XING CPTrans-ME-X communication adapter due to the presence of a hard-coded password. This vulnerability allows unauthorized users who are aware of the embedded credential to log in to the affected device's administrative port. The issue affects CPTrans-ME-X firmware versions prior to 1.8.1.17.
Users are advised to update the device's firmware. A firmware update was released via FOTA (Firmware Over-The-Air) in April 2026, which disables the administrative port in the initial configuration and limits the available commands to those necessary for maintenance.
