Description
IBM i 7.6, 7.5, 7.4, and 7.3 s vulnerable to a denial-of-service attack due to uncontrolled recursion in the Integrated Language Environment (ILE) compiler. An authenticated attacker could exploit this vulnerability by compiling specially crafted source code containing a specific combination of statements.
A denial-of-service vulnerability has been identified in IBM i versions 7.6, 7.5, 7.4, and 7.3. This issue arises from uncontrolled recursion in the Integrated Language Environment (ILE) compiler. An authenticated attacker could exploit this vulnerability by compiling specially crafted source code that includes a specific combination of statements.
Users can upgrade to the following fixed versions: IBM i 7.6 (PTF MJ09365), IBM i 7.5 (PTF MJ09335), IBM i 7.4 (PTF MJ09334), and IBM i 7.3 (PTF MJ09332).
