Description
Admidio before 5.0.11 fails to validate target organization membership in role handlers, allowing authenticated role administrators to delete, activate, deactivate, or edit roles belonging to other organizations. Attackers can supply a role UUID from another organization to groups_roles.php handlers to modify that organization's roles without authorization.
A vulnerability in Admidio versions prior to 5.0.11 allows authenticated role administrators to improperly modify roles across different organizations. The issue arises because the application fails to verify whether a role belongs to the target organization when handling role modifications. As a result, an administrator can delete, activate, deactivate, or edit roles from other organizations by supplying a role UUID from that organization, bypassing authorization checks.
Users are advised to update Admidio to version 5.0.11 or later, where this vulnerability has been patched.
