Description
The CBX 5 Star Rating & Review plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the 'page' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 1.0.7 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick an administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.
A reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the CBX 5 Star Rating & Review plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 1.0.7. The issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping, allowing unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts via the 'page' parameter. These scripts could be executed if an administrator is tricked into clicking a link.
Users are advised to update the CBX 5 Star Rating & Review plugin to version 1.0.8 or a newer patched version.
