Description
An insufficient check allowed for the overwrite of arbitrary files via a symlink.
A vulnerability in SolusVM version 1, specifically in KVM-based deployments, allows for unauthorized privilege escalation from a guest to the host node. This issue arises from an insufficient check that enables the overwriting of arbitrary files via symbolic links. Such escalation could compromise the security and stability of other virtual servers on the same host.
Users are advised to update SolusVM to version 1.30.15 or later. After updating, it is recommended to verify that the installed version is 1.30.15 or later.
