Description
open62541 1.5.5 contains a buffer-overflow in the high-level attribute reading logic in src/client/ua_client_highlevel.c. This allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.
A buffer-overflow vulnerability has been identified in open62541 version 1.5.5. The issue arises in the high-level attribute reading logic, specifically within the 'ua_client_highlevel.c' file. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to cause a denial-of-service condition by exploiting the client's handling of OPC UA attributes.
Users are advised to update to the patched version of open62541, where this vulnerability has been addressed by removing the special-case handling of the NodeClass attribute and routing it through the generic, type-checked path.
