CVE-2026-67340 Details
Description
ArcadeDB before 26.7.2 (arcadedb-engine) allows trigger scripts to look up host classes in java.lang.* (via Java.type) because ScriptTriggerExecutor adds java.lang.* to the allowed packages. An authenticated user with UPDATE_SCHEMA permission can create a JavaScript trigger that invokes java.lang.Runtime.getRuntime().exec() (or ProcessBuilder), achieving OS command execution when the trigger fires.
A remote code execution vulnerability exists in ArcadeDB versions prior to 26.7.2 within the arcadedb-engine. The issue arises because trigger scripts can access host classes in the java.lang package through Java.type, enabled by the ScriptTriggerExecutor's allowance of java.lang.*. An authenticated user with UPDATE_SCHEMA permission can exploit this by creating a JavaScript trigger that executes OS commands via java.lang.Runtime.getRuntime().exec() or ProcessBuilder, executing the commands when the trigger is activated.
Users are advised to update ArcadeDB to version 26.7.2 or later, where this vulnerability has been patched.
