CVE-2026-67337 Details
Description
better-auth versions before 1.4.9 contain a two-factor authentication bypass vulnerability when session.cookieCache is enabled. Attackers with valid primary credentials can access authenticated routes without completing second-factor verification by exploiting premature session caching.
A two-factor authentication bypass vulnerability has been identified in better-auth versions prior to 1.4.9. When the session.cookieCache feature is enabled, sessions may be incorrectly cached as valid before the second-factor authentication is completed. This allows attackers with valid primary credentials to access authenticated routes without undergoing the necessary two-factor verification.
Users are advised to upgrade to better-auth version 1.4.9 or later. As a temporary workaround, disable the session.cookieCache feature when using two-factor authentication.
