Description
XING CPTrans-ME-X contains an Exposure of Sensitive System Information to an Unauthorized Control Sphere (CWE-497). Sensitive system information may be leaked.
A vulnerability in the XING CPTrans-ME-X communication adapter allows for the unauthorized exposure of sensitive system information. This issue arises from improper input processing through the administrative port, which may lead to unintended information leakage.
Users are advised to update the device's firmware. A firmware update was released via FOTA (Firmware Over-The-Air) in April 2026, which disabled the administrative port in the initial configuration and limited the available commands for logged-in users to those necessary for maintenance.
