Description
An out-of-bounds read was addressed with improved bounds checking. This issue is fixed in macOS Golden Gate 27, macOS Sequoia 15.8, macOS Tahoe 26.7. An app may be able to cause unexpected system termination.
A vulnerability exists in the SMB implementation of Apple macOS Golden Gate 27, Sequoia 15.8, and Tahoe 26.7. This vulnerability allows for an out-of-bounds read, which could lead to unexpected system termination or corruption of kernel memory. The issue has been addressed with improved bounds checking and input validation.
Users can update to macOS Golden Gate 27, macOS Sequoia 15.8, or macOS Tahoe 26.7 to address this vulnerability.
