Description
An out-of-bounds read was addressed with improved bounds checking. This issue is fixed in macOS Golden Gate 27, macOS Sequoia 15.8, macOS Tahoe 26.7. Connecting to a malicious SMB share may disclose kernel memory.
An out-of-bounds read vulnerability has been identified in the SMB (Server Message Block) implementation of Apple macOS Golden Gate 27, Sequoia 15.8, and Tahoe 26.7. This vulnerability allows a local user to read kernel memory by connecting to a malicious SMB share. The issue has been addressed with improved bounds checking.
Users can update to macOS Golden Gate 27, macOS Sequoia 15.8, or macOS Tahoe 26.7 to address this vulnerability.
