Description
OpenRemote versions before 1.26.2 contain an information disclosure vulnerability in the SyslogResource REST endpoint that fails to filter operational logs by realm. Attackers with the read:rules role can access the GET /api/{realm}/syslog/event endpoint to retrieve operational logs from all tenants, exposing asset IDs, agent connection details, rule names, and protocol errors across the multi-tenant deployment.
A cross-realm information disclosure vulnerability has been identified in OpenRemote versions prior to 1.26.2. The issue resides in the SyslogResource REST endpoint, which improperly filters operational logs by realm. As a result, attackers with the read:rules role can access the GET /api/{realm}/syslog/event endpoint and retrieve operational logs from all tenants. This exposure includes asset IDs, agent connection details, rule names, and protocol errors, creating a reconnaissance risk against other tenants in multi-tenant OpenRemote deployments.
Users can upgrade to OpenRemote version 1.26.2 or later to address this vulnerability.
