CVE-2026-64881 Details
Description
The audit file upload handler does not sanitize filenames, allowing shell metacharacters to flow into system command execution. This input validation failure enables command injection when chained with a related vulnerability.
A command injection vulnerability has been identified in Tenable Security Center versions 6.6.0 through 6.8.0. The issue arises because the audit file upload handler fails to properly sanitize filenames, allowing shell metacharacters to be injected into system command execution. This lack of input validation can be exploited when combined with a related vulnerability.
Users can upgrade to Tenable Security Center Patch SC202607.1, which is available through the Tenable Downloads Portal, to address this vulnerability.
