Description
In JetBrains WebStorm before 2026.2 arbitrary code execution was possible via a project-supplied linter configuration
A vulnerability in JetBrains WebStorm versions prior to 2026.2 allows for arbitrary code execution through a linter configuration provided by the project. This issue arises because the application does not properly validate or restrict the execution of code from the linter settings, potentially leading to the execution of malicious scripts or commands.
Users can update to JetBrains WebStorm version 2026.2 or later, where this vulnerability has been fixed.
