Description
A buffer overflow was addressed with improved bounds checking. This issue is fixed in iOS 18.7.10 and iPadOS 18.7.10, iOS 26.6 and iPadOS 26.6, macOS Sequoia 15.7.8, macOS Tahoe 26.6, tvOS 26.6, visionOS 26.6. A remote attacker may be able to cause unexpected application termination or heap corruption.
A buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in the Model I/O framework of various Apple operating systems, including iOS, iPadOS, macOS Sequoia, macOS Tahoe, tvOS, and visionOS. This vulnerability allows a remote attacker to process a maliciously crafted file, leading to unexpected application termination or arbitrary code execution. The issue arises from insufficient input validation, which has been addressed in the latest version of each operating system.
Users can update to the latest version of iOS, iPadOS, macOS Sequoia 15.7.8, macOS Tahoe 26.6, tvOS 26.6, or visionOS 26.6 to address this vulnerability.
