Description
The issue was addressed with improved bounds checks. This issue is fixed in iOS 26.6 and iPadOS 26.6, macOS Tahoe 26.6, tvOS 26.6, visionOS 26.6, watchOS 26.6. Processing a maliciously crafted file may lead to unexpected app termination.
A buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in the ImageIO component of various Apple operating systems, including iOS, iPadOS, macOS Tahoe, tvOS, watchOS, and visionOS, all in version 26.6. This vulnerability allows processing of maliciously crafted files to lead to unexpected application termination or arbitrary code execution.
Users can update to iOS 26.6, iPadOS 26.6, macOS Tahoe 26.6, tvOS 26.6, watchOS 26.6, or visionOS 26.6 to address this vulnerability.
