Description
The issue was addressed with improved memory handling. This issue is fixed in macOS Sequoia 15.7.8, macOS Sonoma 14.8.8, macOS Tahoe 26.6. A remote user may be able to cause unexpected system termination or corrupt kernel memory.
A buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in multiple components of Apple macOS, including AFP and SMB services. This vulnerability allows a remote user to cause unexpected system termination or corrupt kernel memory. The issue arises from inadequate bounds checking, which can be exploited to manipulate memory and disrupt normal system operations.
Users can upgrade to macOS Sequoia 15.7.8, macOS Sonoma 14.8.8, or macOS Tahoe 26.6 to address this vulnerability.
