Description
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu/vt-d: Avoid WARNING in sva unbind path The Intel IOMMU driver allows SVA on devices even if they do not support PCI/PRI. Commit 39c20c4e83b9 ("iommu/vt-d: Only handle IOPF for SVA when PRI is supported") modified the SVA bind path to allow this configuration by skipping IOPF enablement when PRI is missing. However, it failed to update the unbind path. A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's Intel IOMMU driver can lead to a warning being triggered during the unbinding of Shared Virtual Addressing (SVA) domains on devices that do not support PCI/PRI. This issue arises because the IOMMU driver allows SVA on such devices, but the unbind path incorrectly attempts to disable IOPF for them, causing a warning in the IOMMU disable function. The vulnerability affects the Linux kernel stable tree.
The vulnerability has been addressed in the Linux kernel. Users can upgrade to the latest version of the stable Linux kernel to apply the fix.
