CVE-2026-64520 Details
Description
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: firmware: arm_ffa: Bound PARTITION_INFO_GET_REGS copies The register-based PARTITION_INFO_GET path trusted the firmware-provided indices when copying partition descriptors into the caller buffer. Reject inconsistent counts or index progressions so the copy loop cannot write past the allocated array. (fixed cur_idx when exactly one descriptor in the first fragment)
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's handling of the ARM Fast Firmware Architecture (FFA) Partition Information Get Registers function has been addressed. This issue arose because the function relied on firmware-provided indices to copy partition descriptors into the caller's buffer, which could lead to writing beyond the allocated array. The vulnerability affects the Linux kernel stable tree.
Users can upgrade to the latest version of the Linux kernel stable tree, where this vulnerability has been fixed.
