CVE-2026-6450 Details
Description
A CRL critical extension bypass exists in ParseCRL_Extensions where critical extensions are not properly enforced, allowing a crafted CRL with an unhandled critical extension to be accepted. This only affects builds with CRL support enabled and where a crafted CRL had a trusted signature when parsed.
A vulnerability exists in wolfSSL's CRL parsing functionality, specifically in the ParseCRL_Extensions method. This vulnerability allows a crafted Certificate Revocation List (CRL) containing an unhandled critical extension to be accepted, bypassing the proper enforcement of critical extensions. The issue arises in builds with CRL support enabled, where the crafted CRL has a trusted signature.
Users are advised to update to wolfSSL version 5.9.1, where this vulnerability has been fixed.
