CVE-2026-64470 Details
Description
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: btusb: fix use-after-free on marvell probe failure Make sure to stop any TX URBs submitted during Marvell OOB wakeup configuration on later probe failures to avoid use-after-free in the completion callback. This issue was reported by Sashiko while reviewing a fix for a wakeup source leak in the btusb probe errors paths.
A use-after-free vulnerability has been addressed in the Linux kernel's Bluetooth btusb driver. This issue arises during the handling of Marvell Bluetooth devices, specifically when a probe fails after an out-of-band wakeup configuration. The failure causes a mishandling of transmission requests, leading to a memory management error where freed memory is still accessed. The vulnerability was discovered by Sashiko, who noted it while reviewing another fix related to the btusb driver's error handling.
Users can upgrade to the latest version of the Linux kernel where this vulnerability has been fixed. Instructions for downloading the patched version are available on the official Linux kernel website.
