CVE-2026-64412 Details
Description
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: ebtables: module names must be null-terminated We need to explicitly check the length, else we may pass non-null terminated string to request_module().
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's netfilter ebtables component allows for improper handling of module names. The issue arises because module names were not explicitly checked for null termination, potentially leading to the transmission of non-null-terminated strings to the request_module function. This vulnerability affects the Linux kernel stable tree.
Users can upgrade to the latest version of the Linux kernel where this vulnerability has been addressed. Instructions for upgrading can be found in the official Linux kernel documentation.
