Description
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfs: Fix missing locking around retry adding new subreqs Fix netfs_retry_read_subrequests() and netfs_retry_write_stream() to take the appropriate lock when adding extra subrequests into stream->subrequests.
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's netfs component has been addressed, which involved inadequate locking mechanisms when retrying to add new subrequests. This issue was present in the netfs_retry_read_subrequests() and netfs_retry_write_stream() functions, where the appropriate locks were not applied, potentially leading to concurrency issues. The vulnerability has been fixed by ensuring that the necessary locks are acquired before modifying the list of subrequests, thereby preventing race conditions.
