CVE-2026-63924 Details
Description
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: exthdrs: refresh nh pointer after ipv6_hop_jumbo() ipv6_hop_jumbo() calls pskb_trim_rcsum(), which can change skb pointers. Let's recompute nh pointer to make sure any change won't mess things up.
A vulnerability has been addressed in the Linux kernel's handling of IPv6 hop-by-hop options. The issue arises because the 'ipv6_hop_jumbo' function modifies socket buffer (skb) pointers, which can disrupt the correct processing of network headers. This vulnerability affects the Linux kernel stable tree.
Users can upgrade to the latest version of the Linux kernel stable tree, where this vulnerability has been fixed.
