Description
Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key (CWE-639) in Kibana can lead to information disclosure via user-supplied identifiers that reference scheduled query result data from Kibana Spaces the requester is not authorized to access.
A vulnerability allowing authorization bypass through user-controlled keys has been identified in Elastic Kibana versions 9.4.0 prior to 9.4.4. This vulnerability can lead to unauthorized information disclosure by allowing users to access scheduled query result data from Kibana Spaces that they do not have permission to view. The issue arises in Kibana deployments with the Osquery Manager integration and multiple Kibana Spaces configured.
Users can upgrade to Kibana version 9.4.4 to address this vulnerability. For those unable to upgrade, no workarounds are available.
