Description
An insecure direct object reference vulnerability in Koollab LMS allowed an authenticated user to query the course completion progress of any other user without authorisation, disclosing private learning progress information.
A vulnerability allowing insecure direct object reference has been identified in Koollab Learning Management System (LMS) version 5.3.2. This vulnerability enables an authenticated user to access the course completion progress of other users without authorization, thereby disclosing private learning progress information. The issue arises from improper access controls that fail to restrict users from querying sensitive data related to course completions.
Three Learning, the product owner, has patched this vulnerability across all cloud-hosted instances of Koollab LMS. No manual action is required from users or administrators.
