Description
Use after free in Microsoft Office Excel allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network.
A use-after-free vulnerability has been identified in Microsoft Office Excel. This issue allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code remotely over a network. The vulnerability arises when a user opens a specially crafted file from the attacker, triggering the exploitation.
Users can download the security update for this vulnerability through the Microsoft Update Catalog. For Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise, security updates are also available via the Click-to-Run service.
