Description
In Roundcube Webmail before 1.6.17 and 1.7.x before 1.7.2, the TNEF decoder was subject to denial of service via a crafted compressed-RTF size.
A denial-of-service vulnerability has been identified in Roundcube Webmail versions prior to 1.6.17 and 1.7.x prior to 1.7.2. The issue arises in the TNEF (Transport Neutral Encapsulation Format) decoder, which is susceptible to denial-of-service attacks through crafted compressed RTF (Rich Text Format) data. This vulnerability can cause an infinite loop in the TNEF decoder, disrupting normal application functionality.
Users are advised to update to Roundcube Webmail versions 1.6.17 or 1.7.2, both of which include the necessary fix for this vulnerability.
