Description
PraisonAI before 4.6.78 contains arbitrary file write and command execution vulnerabilities in the AICoder component due to missing path validation and command sanitization in LLM tool calls. Attackers can inject malicious prompts through the chat interface to write files to arbitrary filesystem locations and execute arbitrary shell commands with root privileges.
A vulnerability in the AICoder component of PraisonAI versions prior to 4.6.78 allows for arbitrary file writing and command execution. This issue arises from inadequate path validation and command sanitization in LLM tool interactions. Attackers can exploit these weaknesses by injecting malicious prompts through the chat interface, leading to unauthorized file writes to various filesystem locations and the execution of arbitrary shell commands with root privileges.
Users are advised to update to PraisonAI version 4.6.78 or later, where this vulnerability has been patched.
