Description
PraisonAI before 4.6.78 contains a path traversal vulnerability in ContextGatherer that fails to validate include paths in .praisoncontext and .praisoninclude files. Attackers can supply absolute paths or parent directory traversal sequences to read arbitrary files outside the workspace and include their contents in the generated context bundle.
A path traversal vulnerability has been identified in PraisonAI versions through 4.6.77 within the ContextGatherer component. This vulnerability arises because the application fails to properly validate include paths specified in .praisoncontext and .praisoninclude files. As a result, attackers can exploit this flaw by providing absolute paths or using parent directory traversal sequences to access and read arbitrary files located outside the designated workspace. The contents of these files can then be included in the context bundle generated by the application.
Users can update to PraisonAI version 4.6.78 or later, where this vulnerability has been patched.
