CVE-2026-6092 Details
Description
When HAVE_ENCRYPT_THEN_MAC is configured, the implementation could fall back to MAC-then-Encrypt rather than enforcing Encrypt-then-MAC.
A vulnerability exists in wolfSSL when the HAVE_ENCRYPT_THEN_MAC feature is enabled. The issue arises because the implementation may incorrectly revert to a MAC-then-Encrypt approach instead of consistently applying Encrypt-then-MAC. This vulnerability is present in wolfSSL versions prior to 5.9.1.
Users are advised to update to wolfSSL version 5.9.1 or later.
