CVE-2026-60137 Details
Description
WordPress 6.8.x before 6.8.6, 6.9.x before 6.9.5, and 7.0.x before 7.0.2 does not properly sanitise the author__not_in parameter of WP_Query, which could allow SQL Injection when a plugin or theme passes untrusted input to the parameter.
A SQL injection vulnerability has been identified in WordPress versions 6.8.x prior to 6.8.6, 6.9.x prior to 6.9.5, and 7.0.x prior to 7.0.2. The issue arises because the author__not_in parameter of WP_Query is not properly sanitized, allowing for SQL injection when untrusted input is passed to the parameter by a plugin or theme.
Users are advised to update to WordPress versions 6.8.6, 6.9.5, or 7.0.2. For sites that support automatic background updates, the update process will begin automatically. WordPress 7.1 beta2 is also available, containing the necessary fixes.
