Description
PraisonAI before 1.6.78 caches tool approval decisions by tool name only, allowing attackers to reuse initial approvals for subsequent calls with arbitrary arguments. Attackers can exploit this by obtaining approval for a benign operation and then executing dangerous file write operations with unreviewed parameters in the same session.
A cache bypass vulnerability has been identified in PraisonAI versions prior to 1.6.78. The issue arises because the application caches tool approval decisions based solely on tool names, allowing attackers to reuse initial approvals for subsequent calls with arbitrary arguments. This can be exploited by first obtaining approval for a harmless operation and then executing risky file write actions with unchecked parameters during the same session.
Users are advised to update PraisonAI to version 1.6.78 or later, where this vulnerability has been patched.
