CVE-2026-59998 Details
Description
sshd in OpenSSH before 10.4 has an undocumented security-relevant behavior: GSSAPIStrictAcceptorCheck has no value if the server is in Windows Active Directory.
A vulnerability exists in OpenSSH versions prior to 10.4, where the GSSAPIStrictAcceptorCheck option is ineffective if the server is joined to Windows Active Directory. This undocumented behavior can lead to security-relevant issues, as the option, which is intended to enforce strict checks on GSSAPI acceptor identities, cannot be relied upon in such environments.
