Description
sftp in OpenSSH before 10.4 does not properly constrain the location of downloaded files when "sftp server:/path ." is used with an attacker-controlled server.
A vulnerability exists in the SFTP client of OpenSSH versions prior to 10.4. When using the command 'sftp server:/path .', a malicious server can manipulate the download location of files, potentially leading to unintended file overwrites or data exposure.
Users can upgrade to OpenSSH 10.4 or later to address this vulnerability.
