CVE-2026-59896 Details
Description
Hono is a Web application framework that provides support for any JavaScript runtime. From 4.11.8 before 4.12.27, hono/jsx did not isolate context values per request during server-side rendering, allowing createContext, useContext, jsxRenderer, or useRequestContext data from a different in-flight request to be used after an await in an async component. This issue is fixed in version 4.12.27.
A vulnerability exists in the Hono web application framework, specifically in versions 4.11.8 prior to 4.12.27. During server-side rendering, the framework failed to isolate context values for each request. This flaw allowed context data from one request to be accessed by another concurrent request, particularly after an 'await' in an asynchronous component. As a result, sensitive information and authorization decisions could inadvertently be shared between requests, leading to potential data leaks and incorrect authorization checks.
Upgrade to Hono version 4.12.27 or later, where this vulnerability has been fixed.
