Description
SiYuan is an open-source personal knowledge management system. Prior to 3.7.1, the /api/storage/getCriteria endpoint returns saved search criteria from data/storage/criteria.json without the publish-access filtering used by sibling storage endpoints, allowing a publish-mode Reader to read private document paths, notebook, document, and block IDs, and search and replace keywords for unpublished documents. This issue is fixed in versions 3.7.1.
A vulnerability in SiYuan, an open-source personal knowledge management system, allows publish-mode Readers to access private saved search criteria through the unfiltered '/api/storage/getCriteria' endpoint. This issue affects versions prior to 3.7.1. The vulnerability arises because the endpoint does not apply the same publish-access filtering as related storage endpoints, enabling unauthorized access to private document paths, IDs, and confidential keywords.
Update to SiYuan version 3.7.1, where this vulnerability has been fixed.
