Description
A exposure of resource to wrong sphere vulnerability in Fortinet FortiSandbox 5.0.0 through 5.0.2, FortiSandbox 4.4.3 through 4.4.8 may allow an unauthenticated attacker to access the VNC server of VMs performing scanning via network requests.
A vulnerability allowing unauthenticated access to the VNC server of virtual machines performing network scans has been identified in Fortinet FortiSandbox versions 5.0.0 through 5.0.2 and 4.4.3 through 4.4.8. This exposure of resource to wrong sphere vulnerability may allow attackers to intercept or manipulate VNC sessions.
Users can upgrade FortiSandbox 5.0 to version 5.0.3 or above and FortiSandbox 4.4 to version 4.4.9 or above. FortiSandbox PaaS customers are not impacted by this vulnerability.
