Description
pnpm is a package manager. Prior to 10.34.4 and 11.7.0, a crafted patch entry could resolve outside the configured patches directory and cause pnpm patch-remove to delete an arbitrary reachable file. This vulnerability is fixed in 10.34.4 and 11.7.0.
A vulnerability in pnpm, a package manager, allows for arbitrary file deletion through the patch-remove command. This issue affects pnpm versions prior to 10.34.4 and 11.0.0 through 11.7.0. The vulnerability arises because a crafted patch entry could resolve outside the designated patches directory, leading pnpm patch-remove to delete unintended files. Exploitation of this vulnerability could result in the loss of important project files or other critical data.
