Description
Heap-based buffer overflow in Virtual Hard Disk (VHD) Miniport Driver allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.
A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability has been identified in the Virtual Hard Disk (VHD) Miniport Driver. This vulnerability allows an authorized attacker to locally elevate privileges. The issue affects multiple versions of Windows, including Windows 10 Version 21H2 for 32-bit Systems, Windows Server 2022 (Server Core installation), Windows Server 2022, Windows Server 2019 (Server Core installation), Windows Server 2019, Windows 10 Version 1809 for x64-based Systems, and Windows 10 Version 1809 for 32-bit Systems.
Users can apply the security update for their specific Windows version to address this vulnerability.
