Description
A flaw in Node.js can cause dns.resolveAny() Aborts the Node.js Process When a DNS Response Contains More Than 256 A Records. Repeated triggering of this condition can lead to denial of service. This vulnerability affects Node.js **26.x**, **24.x**, and **22.x**.
A denial-of-service vulnerability has been identified in Node.js versions 26.x, 24.x, and 22.x. The issue arises in the dns.resolveAny() function, which can cause the Node.js process to abort when a DNS response contains more than 256 A records. This flaw can be exploited by repeatedly triggering the condition, leading to process termination.
Users can upgrade to Node.js versions 22.23.2, 24.18.1, or 26.5.1 to address this vulnerability.
