Description
Use of uninitialized resource in Windows RDP allows an authorized attacker to disclose information over a network.
A vulnerability in Windows Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) allows an authorized attacker to disclose information over the network. This issue arises from the use of uninitialized resources, which can lead to the exposure of uninitialized heap memory.
Users can download the security update for this vulnerability via the Microsoft Update Catalog. Security update KB5101650 is available for Windows 11 versions 24H2 and 25H2, as well as for Windows Server 2025. For Windows 10, security update KB5099539 can be downloaded for versions 22H2, 21H2, and 1809. Windows Server 2012 R2 users can apply the monthly rollup KB5099444, while those on Windows Server 2016 can use KB5099535. Windows Server 2019 users should also apply KB5099538.
