Description
Author Cross Site Scripting (XSS) in Featured Image <= 2.1 versions.
A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability has been identified in the WordPress Featured Image plugin, specifically in versions through 2.1. This issue allows users with the Author role to inject malicious scripts, such as redirects or advertisements, which could be executed when visitors access the affected site.
Users of the WordPress Featured Image plugin should update to version 2.2 or later. Patchstack users can enable auto-updates for vulnerable plugins.
